Biochemistry or biological chemistry is a branch of biology and chemistry involving intense study of different chemical processes taking place inside living organisms. These biochemical processes are notably the fundamental reasons for complexity of life.
Biochemistry is classified into molecular genetics, metabolism and protein science. It figures out the way in which bio molecules give rise to the general processes occurring inside or between cells. This in turn aids in achieving better understanding of organs, tissues, and organisms and their respective physiologies and functions.
Biochemistry further deeply understands the structure, composition, and functioning of proteins, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, lipids and other biological macromolecules that fundamentally form the cellular structure and performs different functions.
